Teacher Exchange Schedule of Fees

Below outlines the fees throughout the process. 

Process Fees - pay as needed

A. Visa Fees
     1. J-1 Visa Application and Sponsorship Fee (Insurance included)- $2,500 - $4,000 (paid to Visa Sponsor)
     2. SEVIS I-901 Fee - $220 (paid to USCIS - US Immigration Office)
     3. DS-160 Fee - $185 (paid to US Embassy at home country)

B.  Teaching Certification Fees
      1. Teaching Certification Application Fee - $100 to $200 (paid to DepEd - varies by state)
      2. Background Check/Fingerprinting - $40 to $100 (paid to background check entity)

C. US Travel and Startup Expenses 
      1. Airfare - $1,000 - $2,600 (paid to Airline- varies by date, destination, and airline)
      2. Housing deposit and 1st-month payment - 800- 2000 (varies by location)
      3. Transportation allowance - $250 (approximate value depending on arrangements)
      4. Living allowance - $2,000 (varies by state and personal choices)

Mialakai Group Fees

1. Commitment Fee - $150  paid once accepted in the program.
2. Mentoring and Services Fee - $385 per month paid in 10 equal monthly payments once the teacher is in the  US and working.
